One-day Intensive with Susan Nowicki and Teresa Dybvig

One-day Intensives with both Susan Nowicki and Teresa Dybvig are available for up to 3 people in Long Island or Philadelphia. The day's schedule is flexible, and may include any component of The Balanced Pianist. Participants can even change their mind in the course of the day, deciding to spend more time on, for example, lessons, or learning styles. Participants get more from one day with both instructors than they would get from two consecutive days with one instructor each! $600 for one day includes meals, lessons, and all fees for the two instructors. Optional bodywork (Yoga, Pilates, Alexander) not included in fee. If you are interested in a one-day intensive with one or two of your friends or colleagues, please contact The Balanced Pianist.

Weekend Workshop on Dystonia

There are commonalities in posture, arm/hand alignment and movement, and mindset among people with dystonia. It is my experience that they are behavioral and can be changed, and people with dystonia can play again. A weekend of instruction with others on similar paths will probably not change your situation entirely, but it can give you a good idea of the steps you can take to turn your situation around. Weekend workshops for 2 to 4 people, including some yoga, an overview of commonalities, lessons, and mealtime discussion on mindset, are available on Long Island. Instructor is Teresa Dybvig. Cost is from $250 to $450 per person, depending on number of participants, and includes meals. Optional Yoga class not included in fee. If you are interested in participating in a weekend workshop on dystonia, please contact The Balanced Pianist.
